Entry level sales position in local, busy mobile phone store. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
• handling cash payments proficiently,
• new sales of mobile phones with activations with several different prepaid companies,
• receiving payments for phone bills on existing accounts,
• balancing your own cash drawer daily,
• transferring phone service from one phone to another and/or one company to another as applicable,
• and cleaning and maintaining your work area.
Applicant must
• be able to work efficiently in a small, enclosed workspace with a couple of other people,
• have their own transportation to and from work,
• be able to work six days per week (Monday - Saturday) with a flexible schedule, and
• fluent English required, fluent Spanish preferred but not required.
Qualified applicants should have a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor for dealing with co-workers and customers and have a take-charge attitude when it comes to learning all the products. Knowledge of prepaid phones is a plus but is NOT required since on-the-job training will be provided.
The position is entry-level and full-time. Most weeks you'll get 35 - 40 hours, one week per month you may get approved overtime. Starting pay is $8 but is negotiable after 90 days working/training. Pay can be negotiated up after you learn the job.
