Sorry for the lack of communication of late. The Art of J is in the process of relocating. My HQ will be in the Bangor area going forward. You will also see a change in the location of events you can expect to see me. The only event I have booked this year is the Acadia Festival in Madawaska this August. More news as it happens, so stay tuned!

I won't mix words. We need to get out of Lewiston. (If you know, you know.) We don't feel safe here anymore. It isn't just the events of the past weekend, but a culmination of increasingly violent tragedies over the last decade. We have an opportunity to move far away from here, to a beautiful house in the middle of nowhere. However, we keep being met with setbacks. Poverty is its own sort of prison. So many of the residents of this town say the same thing... "We would leave if we could afford to." Well, we're not waiting for that. Please consider helping us get out of Lewiston. At the end of the day on Wednesday, January 7th, I will be disabling ALL my Meta accounts, both business and personal. There is far too much rage bait, and I can't work when I'm this angry all the time. I have these accounts for social interaction, but they're harming my mental health, and ruining my art career. Things are going to run a little differently here at Studio J in 2026, primarily in response to a disappointing 2025...
- I am booking fewer caricature events. Most of the events I did in 2025 cost me more than I made.
- I am doing more of my own art.
- I am concerning myself less with monetization. If it makes money, great, but that's not its primary purpose. I make art for sanity, and because I'm an artist, and that's what artists do.
- Since money is necessary for survival in America, I am likely picking up a part-time job. If you know of something you think would be a good fit, please let me know.
- I'm focusing more on myself and my own well-being.
