⚡ ELECTRIC SYSTEM UPGRADES IN PROGRESS! ⚡
Please be patient with our electric crews as they complete some very important upgrades to our electric system.
🚧 Please plan ahead and find an alternate route on these days so our crews can work safely and efficiently.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation while we make these improvements! 💡⚡

Main Street at Illinois street will be closed multiple times starting Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. Electric crews will be working overhead and pulling wires. Thank you for your cooperation.

This week, Lenox Municipal Utilities recognizes the workers who keep clean water flowing and wastewater moving safely.

August 23–29, 2026 is Water and Wastewater Workers of Iowa Week—a time set aside to honor professionals in the water and wastewater industry who are essential to the health, safety, and daily life of every community. They're often behind the scenes, but their work makes modern life possible:

• They protect public health by ensuring drinking water is safe and wastewater is properly treated.

• They keep essential services running for homes, businesses, schools and hospitals.

• They respond around the clock to leaks, equipment failures, severe weather, and other emergencies.

• And they’re trusted stewards of critical infrastructure, maintaining complex systems that most people rarely think about until something goes wrong.

To the water and wastewater workers who keep our communities running: thank you for the work you do, the challenges you face and the difference you make every day!

DID YOU KNOW? Every time you turn on a faucet, take a shower or flush a toilet, there are hard-working individuals behind the scenes who make it all possible.

Because of the important role that water and wastewater workers have in our communities, August 23–29, 2026 has been designated as Water and Wastewater Workers of Iowa Week.

These operators keep clean water flowing and wastewater moving safely by maintaining complex systems that most people rarely think about, and they respond around the clock to leaks, equipment failures, severe weather, and other emergencies—all to ensure that our homes, businesses and schools have the essential services they need.

Wishing Corbyn Sheley a great senior year! Thank you for all of your hard work and help at LMU this summer. We truly appreciate everything you did for us and enjoyed having you as part of the team.
