Our Kansas City based company is actively hiring low voltage technicians for currently govt projects in Florida. Well be running SM fiber from MDFs to IDFs and from there copper to endpoints for WAPs and video conferencing kiosks. The majority of this will be utilizing existing pathways, but we will need to make our own paths when necessary. Hiring preference to technicians with experience in fishing and running EMT and rigid conduit (occasionally burial). The majority of this job is simply getting the cables in place and terminating, but there is some rack and stack involved.

Techs will need to provide their own basic telecom tools. You will need to be able to pass a stringent background check. You will need to have a valid drivers license. Will train the right candidates, a strong work ethic and ambition are the most important qualifications in this industry.

We either fly or drive based on the distance from KC. FL and GA we'll be flying. We generally stay in AirBnBs in the nearest city to the site. We like to have fun on the weekends, but anything you do after work cannot effect your work. That said, we have a great group of guys working for us, which makes working with others easy.

Pay is DOE. Anywhere from 18-25 hour to start, with $50/per diem. Techs that are experienced and can run a crew, order materials, bend conduit, and splice fiber, and address coming problems will move up quickly.

- The ability to troubleshoot complex structured cabling problems with industry standard practices.

- Ability to fusion splice all types of fiber optic cabling
C- Able to sometimes work autonomously without direction
- Troubleshoot L3 network topographies.
D- Patience.
- Lead a team
E- Humility.
- Knowledge of industry standard bidding practices and quoting jobs.
F- Constant desire to learn.
Possessing any one of the above skills would make you qualified for a position with us if you’re willing to add the rest in as you go, but the two people we want for the following positions will possess most, if not ALL of these traits currently. Our company is actively hiring A/V, IT, and low voltage technicians. We have various projects in the local KC area, a government project in December in Arkansas that will continue through next year, and another A/V government project all over Nebraska starting early next year.

Pay is DOE. Our out-of-state work will have accommodations paid, as well as per diem and gas paid. Were looking for technicians with experience in:

-Structured cabling
-Networking
-A/V
-Cat 5/6
-Fiber
-Conduit

Will train the right candidates for entry level positions. Experience running conduit from a high volt tech would be very useful. A stagehand that knows amps and DSPs and mixing would be relevant on the A/V side. IT workers that know routing and switching. Construction workers that have experience with lifts, hand tools, and hard work.
