This past holiday season, we witnessed the power of community in action.
The Perituza Foundation was honored to support our Houston community through a homeless outreach initiative centered on care, dignity, and compassion. We were proud to partner with the American Subcontractors Association - Houston Chapter, and this effort came together through the commitment and leadership of Tamara Bayles Hancock, Shannon MacArthur, and Asanka Kamburugamuwe.
Through the Brianna Built It fundraiser, $1,000 was allocated to support this outreach. With matching contributions from the Perituza Foundation and Ben Farmer, CEO of CITOC, we provided food and essential supplies to 200 individuals experiencing homelessness during the cold season - offering warmth, nourishment, and a sense of relief when it was needed most.
This effort was made possible with the support of MEMCO, along with many donors and volunteers who helped pack, store, and distribute supplies, including Tasha Hernandez, Oscar Juarez, Jessica Osuna, Julio Lopez, Carlos Salinas, Maricela Compean, Minora Monsivais, Matt Myers, Jimmy Mazur, Sally Imperial, and Narciso Mendez.
We’re grateful to serve alongside partners who believe in showing up with compassion and purpose.
