Big update coming to the 3.0 app.

We tore Reports down and rebuilt it. You get a home page with the reports you actually use pinned up top, and the full library is searchable when you need something else. You can flip between All sessions, Display and Assessment without backing out of the report.

You can also choose how reps get counted on the charts (best kept, average kept or average all). RSQ Migration shows every session moving through the quadrant, and Symmetry now has Latest, Over time and Before & after views.
Readiness gets its own workspace too. Pick the group, test and metric, and you’ll see current results against each athlete’s baseline and who needs a look.

On top of that there’s a much better desktop view, zoom for the big screen on your wall, and cleaner phone and tablet layouts.
It’s in testing right now. Free for every Plyomat owner when it drops.

Does Plyomat 3.0 have a true cloud-based app?

Yes. It’s called Plyomat HQ, and it’s free for every owner.

“Cloud-based” means your data doesn’t live on one iPad in the weight room. Every athlete, session and rep is saved to your account the moment it’s captured, so you can sign in at app.plyomat.com on any device and it’s all already there.

Test on the floor with your phone, then sit down at your desk and run reports on the same data. No syncing, no exporting, no “which iPad was that on?”

What lives in Cloud HQ:
☁️ Your full roster, with groups and sport tags
☁️ Every session, set and rep, with trend lines per athlete
☁️ Reports you can send as a PDF or live link in two taps
☁️ Leaderboards and the live display for the TV on the wall

It runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows and any browser. And if you just want to jump without signing in, Display Only mode works with no account at all.
How many athletes can you have?

500 active athletes on one account. No per-seat fees, no subscription, no upgrade tier to unlock more. Buy the hardware once and the whole program goes in the cloud.

We will be answering some of the most common Plyomat questions; but we know you will have more though so please send us a DM or visit www.plyomat.com to learn more!

Does Plyomat 3.0 have an Open API?

Yes, and it’s free for every owner.

If you’ve never used one, an API is just a door between two pieces of software. Your data lives in Plyomat Cloud HQ, and the API lets another app ask for it and get it back in a clean, standard format (JSON). No exporting spreadsheets, no copy and paste, no retyping jump heights into your AMS at 9pm.

What you can pull:
📊 Athletes and groups
📊 Every session and set
📊 Every rep: contact time, flight time, jump height, RSI
📊 Assessment results

It’s read-only by design, so nothing on the other end can ever change or delete your data. It’s the same numbers your coaches captured on the mat, to 0.001 s.

Getting started takes a couple of minutes. Sign in at app.plyomat.com, go to Settings › Advanced › API keys, and generate your key. That’s it. No request form, no extra fee.

If you have a developer or a sports science staff member who handles your AMS, send them to app.plyomat.com/developers. Everything they need is there.

We take quantifying plyos seriously and with an RTP athlete, you want to make sure they are getting the right feedback for the specific context of the movement or drill. With Contact Mode, you reduce the complexity of a lateral bound to simply a set distance and a set time. Your athletes will then focus in on what’s most important and it becomes SO much easier to intensify and prescribe.

Give this one a shot and tell us what you think.

Two consecutive jumps. One reactive score.

Bounce Factor in Plyomat 3.0 uses the Dynamic Rebound Index (DRI), developed by Lance Brooks, Ph.D., to evaluate the rebound using both jump heights and the ground contact time between them.

Start on the mat. Perform a maximal jump, land, and immediately jump again. Be as reactive as possible in-between jumps.

The intent: big first jump, bigger rebound, minimal ground time.
Your first jump establishes the drop height for the rebound. The app combines:
• First jump height
• Ground contact time between jumps
• Second jump height

DRI = (Jump Height 1 + Jump Height 2) ÷ (9.81 × Contact Time²)

Heights are calculated in meters and contact time in seconds, producing a dimensionless score. Greater combined height increases DRI, while longer contact time reduces it through the squared denominator.

Plyomat’s default scoring standards:
• Below 0.50: Warming Up
• 0.50 to 1.25: Rebound Ready
• 1.25 to 2.00: Pretty Springy
• 2.00 to 3.00: Bouncy
• 3.00+: Elite

These are Plyomat’s field scoring standards. Use them to track your athletes’ progress with consistent technique and testing conditions.

What’s your Bounce Factor?
