Sometimes all you need is a better amplifier!

We're proud to sponsor the new podcast from award-winning journalist Lisa Guerrero, "Lisa Guerrero Unleashed."

In this clip, Lisa shares her own experience of being embarrassed by her balcony audio system. Instead of replacing the speakers, she swapped in a Parasound ZM2350 amplifier and completely transformed the sound. We love hearing stories like this! 🔊

Preferred Pair Spotlight: Lou S.'s incredible two-channel system featuring our JC5 stereo power amp and Dali Epicon 2 speakers.

A huge thank you to Lou for sharing his setup with us! 🙏

The heart of his system is our JC5, but the quality doesn't stop there—the signal path is pure excellence from start to finish.

His system includes:
- Parasound JC3+ Phono Stage
- Rogue Audio RP-7 Preamplifier
- Rega P10 Turntable
- REL T9x Subwoofers
- Music City Acoustics Room Treatments

What a thoughtfully curated collection of components. Thanks for making us a part of your musical journey, Lou!

A design insight from legendary Parasound engineer John Curl:

“The Class A portion is always smoother and better, while the Class AB is always a bit rougher because it is against the law of physics.”

That quote gets right to the heart of Parasound’s amplifier design philosophy.

Pure Class A operation is prized for its smooth, highly linear sound, but it is not always practical for real-world power demands. That is why many Parasound Class A/AB amplifiers are designed to operate in pure Class A through the lower-power range where most listening happens.

At typical listening levels, much of what you hear can come from that smooth Class A operating range. When the music demands more power, the Class AB portion provides the dynamic headroom needed for bigger peaks.

It is a deliberate balance: sound quality first, with power in reserve when the music calls for it.

Ever wondered about the difference between Class A and Class AB amplifiers? It's all about how they handle the audio signal.

🔊 Class A: The transistors are always on, delivering incredibly pure, detailed sound. The trade-off? They run hot and are less efficient.

⚡ Class AB: A smart, efficient hybrid. Paired transistors share the waveform—one for the positive half, one for the negative—but they overlap at low levels, and that overlap is what keeps quiet-to-moderate passages in pure Class A.

Here's the secret: Many of our Class AB amplifiers are designed to operate in pure Class A at normal listening volumes. You get that beautiful Class A sound for most of your music, with the high-power efficiency of Class AB held in reserve for when you need it.

It's the best of both worlds in one chassis.

You never know where a Parasound might turn up!

We were delighted to spot a JC 1 Monoblock Amplifier in a recent MrBeast video touring incredible homes. It was featured in the dedicated listening room of a $69 million home—a room with a history connected to Sony co-founder Masaru Ibuka.

It’s always a thrill to see our gear as part of a system built with such a singular focus on achieving the best possible sound. Great choice! 😉

The journey of an audiophile often involves chasing that next level of performance. A big thank you to Jason M. for sharing his story of upgrading his system to perfectly match his speakers.

Jason was happily running his Polk Audio R700 speakers with a Parasound A21+ amplifier. However, knowing the 4-ohm R700s thrive on high current, he decided to move up to the JC5. The result? He found the JC5 to be "more musical and sounded better with even more headroom."

He also wisely uses an A52+ for his center and surround channels, ensuring every speaker gets the clean power it needs. As Jason says, moving to separates was a "game changer." We agree completely!

This is a perfect example of how choosing the right amplifier for your specific speakers can unlock a whole new level of sound. Thanks for sharing, Jason!

Setup tip: before changing gear, try checking speaker stand and furniture stability.

A speaker or component sitting on a wobbly surface can blur focus, soften bass, and reduce clarity more than people expect.

Start with a solid foundation, then listen again. Small changes can make a real difference.

The strength of an amplifier starts at the core.

A look inside the JC 5 reveals the substantial power supply, carefully selected components, and purposeful internal layout behind its performance. It is a design built for control, stability, and the kind of effortless power that lets music breathe.

This is engineering in service of impact. ⚡️

Before John Curl became one of the most respected names in high-end audio, his engineering history reached back to one of live sound’s most ambitious experiments: the Grateful Dead’s Wall of Sound.

That same pursuit of clarity, control, and musical impact still matters to us today. It is a reminder that great audio design has never been about hype. It has always been about serving the music.

Customer spotlight: Dale D.

After using an Anthem MRX 740 on its own, Dale added an A21+ to drive his Paradigm Founder 100F speakers and immediately heard the difference. His story is one a lot of enthusiasts will recognize: the search for more sweetness, more refinement, and that sense of ease that keeps you listening longer.

As Dale put it, “I smiled when I hooked it up to the preouts.” And in a line many of us understand, “I want MORE. More Class A. More sweetness.” Nearly 40 years into the hobby, he’s still building toward the system he has in mind and we’re honored to be part of that journey. Thanks for sharing, Dale.

What was the upgrade that made you smile right away?
