I used to be a cool kid with CNCs and automated equipment. Now I’m old, gray, and manually machining parts. It does feel good to make each one and it’s a process for sure.

Surprise! Planned for 2027 is the new IBIII. Coming sooner than I expected. Due to a miscalculation on what IB3 rear cup forgings I thought I had on a pallet still, I am having to drop the 2027 IBIII now.

The 2027 IB3 revision is not a drastic redesign of the previous version, but it is a melding of what has made the Neo IBn3 a better driver and then being brought over to optimize the IB3 ferrite line further. The most obvious difference is the open back motor structure. Pulling cues from the inductance ring/rear exit air flow of the IBn3 this has been adopted into an FEA optimized back/midplate structure. The external (to the coil) heatsink is top mounted and the bottom is radiused to aid in reducing air noise. Flow and cooling has also increased over the previous version with these changes. A tertiary inductance ring was added under the aluminum pole cap as well, further reducing inductance as well as acting as a thermal sink. Finally the carbon cone will be an option for the revised IB3 line as well. Reducing moving mass, increasing stiffness, and looking so MUCH cooler for applications where that might be wanted or needed.

Not a revolution, but a refinement. I know these latest tweaks will make the value of the IB3 line even more apparent vs the IBn3 series.

Finally… a revised One Audio IB2.
Featuring a hydraulically assembled full pole length copper sleeve, 2 layer coil, curvilinear cone, specially formulated foam surround, push or EMMA compliant terminals, Nomex spider, composite dustcap, 12 spoke aluminum frame, and all of the sonic fun that the original IB2 series was known for.

Currently available in 10”, 12”, and 15” versions with single 2 Ohm or single 4 Ohm coils.

And so we close out 2025.

For me the whole point of doing OA is for the music.
Since I can’t have a house band sitting in the car with me everywhere I go, I have to get as close to live music as possible. OA speakers represent my take on capturing the live music experience.

While far from a record year for shows (as life got in the way too many times) we attended 42 different concerts with over 200 bands.
If you are a lover of music and SQ builds, please go support live bands. Without them all you have is AI slop. Recorded music is just the fix to keep you going until you get to see bands live.

2026 will be another major year for additions to the OA lineup and honing everything to be as efficient as possible so that I can keep building and refining current products as well as releasing new ones.
Thanks for an amazing year and all of the support for a tiny little SQ company from Las Vegas.
