Just helped a customer transfer their WordPress website from another provider that was significantly more expensive that what we charge (more than 3 times!) over to our advanced hosting platform. Couple of tweaks on the MySQL database username & admin login, and they're now up an running, and will be saving hundreds of dollars on their hosting costs.

New rules regarding how you can transfer ownership or make changes to the owner contact of your domain names are going to be phased in. The new rules are required by ICANN, and will affect all registrars. Details will be posted on our blog on http://blog.register4less.com.

Our support team is adding a new server into our cPanel based hosting service. Accounts that are on the ahs4.R4L.com server will be migrated to this new ahs5.R4L.com server. The server is configured with more powerful processors, more memory and hybrid flash hard drives.

A little over 4 hours ago we received notification from our data centre located in Montreal that a fibre optic connection had been severed. Service has now been restored, and they are working still on a complete fix. Once we have more details on what happened, we will update all of our customers via email.

We have installed a new chat application which, for lack of a better word, Rocks! The chat application allows us or you to send images or documents directly in the chat application. This is our second day using this new chat system, and our team are loving it. Really allows us to provide great support via chat. Much more features and flexibility, and is still using the encrypted https protocol, so information we share together via chat is secure.
