Cybercriminals are getting smarter—sending fake meeting invites that look legitimate to trick users into clicking malicious links or sharing sensitive info.

🚨 Important: Even if you *don’t* accept the invite—and the email lands in your junk folder—it can still show up on your calendar.

Before you interact with any unexpected invite:
✔️ Double-check the sender
✔️ Avoid clicking suspicious links or attachments
✔️ Verify the meeting through a trusted source

You know that code you have to enter from your phone? The one that feels like a pain every time?

Let’s be honest. If that extra 10 seconds saved you $20, you’d do it. If it saved you $2,000, you definitely would. But when it could save your email from getting hijacked or stop someone from wiring money out of your account, suddenly it’s “too much hassle.”

We insure our cars. We insure our health. We wear seatbelts. But for some reason, cybersecurity is where people decide to roll the dice.

MFA isn’t there to annoy you. It’s there to keep you from learning a very expensive lesson.

This week was a good one. We had fun welcoming a new client onboard and working a little magic for them - including getting them switched over to Google Fiber. They’re now enjoying the lightning-fast internet they’d been needing, which is always a win.

But now it’s the weekend, and with this amazing weather, it’s the perfect time to step away from the screen and get outside for some fresh air. We hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend!

If you’re not familiar with the term, smishing is just phishing - but through text messages.

The goal is simple: get your login info, credit card number, or both.

It used to be pretty easy to spot these texts, but scammers have stepped up their game:

- They use your real name so the message feels legit
- The links look real — even with the little lock icon (that no longer guarantees safety)
- They time messages around things like tax season or package deliveries
- Some even try to get you to call a fake support number or download a “secure” app

Best rule of thumb: don’t click links in text messages — even if it feels urgent.

If you’re worried about an account, open your official bank app or type the website in yourself.

If there’s actually an issue, you’ll see it there.
