The company, Atlantic Shores, has hired Larry Niles, a wildlife biologist, to attach satellite tags to 30 red knots to collect data on their flight path and altitude that can be used to judge whether a proposed wind farm off Atlantic City would conflict with the migration.

Endangered red knots refuel in New Jersey as they migrate between Canada and South America. Could they be threatened by the state's new offshore wind farms?

It's always a sad situation when whales get entangled, but three over a short period of time and one having 200ft of rope removed is very disheartening.

We look forward to the continued efforts in reducing whale entanglements that is happening on the Central Coast in California and in the New England waters both in the USA and Canada (and elsewhere).
