What type of filament do you like to use? We haven’t noticed a huge difference in brands.

However sticking with the name brands filament is always a good options. Polymaker, Elegoo etc.

What’s the first thing you’ll print if/when you got a printer? We followed the typical print of Benchy.

What is it you ask?

A Benchy (often called the 3D Benchy) is a small boat model used as a standard benchmark test print in 3D printing.

Think of it like a diagnostic tool + report card for your printer.

🔍 Why everyone prints a Benchy

It’s specifically designed to test a bunch of things in one print:
• Overhangs → roof and windows
• Bridging → flat spans (like the roof opening)
• Detail quality → text on the bottom (“Benchy”)
• Cooling performance → chimney + small features
• Layer consistency → hull surface
• Stringing/retraction → gaps between parts

Instead of running 10 separate tests, this one model checks everything.
