Too many people are stuck in their interactions, sales, consulting & personal relationships because of an underlying need or desire to be heard.
We often miss out on major opportunities simply because we forget that we can move from a static conversation to meaningful and elevated engagement if we forego our own need for attention and focus on others.
The most important skill I've noticed in high caliber people is their genuine curiosity about others and their willingness to ask great questions.
Audit the language and punctuation you use throughout the day and see if you're underdeveloped in your curiosity and questions.
I guarantee you that every interaction will have more impact when you cultivate genuine, others-focused curiosity and you start to spend your time getting on other people's turf and ask great questions.
You might be stuck in your business, your sales, your friendships and family because you're insecurity causes all conversations to focus on you.
I love the proverb that says "The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed."
We can refresh others by lovingly and genuinely trying to learn about them with questions.
