Support one of Lakeland's own.... Lake Gibson Coach Doug Demyer has been nominated for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -
High School Coach of the Week and needs your votes to win. The winning coach will receive a grant for $2,000 to help maintain and upgrade their football program. One vote per day through Friday at noon. Help bring this honor and money back here to Lakeland!

A week after a devastating district loss, coach Johns’ Sharks defeated previously unbeaten Hernando 13-10. The bounce back victory gives Nature Coast a 5-1 district record.

We hope that you all have made it through the storm well, and that power is finding its way back into your homes. It has been amazing to see the efforts by the City of Lakeland and Lakeland Electric, both have had crews out around the clock working on electric lines, fixing traffic signals and attempting to get us back to a sense of normalcy. We have also been encouraged by the support from friends, neighbors and family pulling together to share resources, helping one another or even just being an ear to listen. It has truly been an eye opening experience.

We also wanted to update everyone on our situation. We were without communication services until yesterday and were not able to open for business Monday or Tuesday. Thankfully, Spectrum was able to get our phone and internet back up and functioning mid-day yesterday. We are happy to report we are again Open for Printing!
