It was established in 1983 as Highlands Electronics dba as Radio Shack Dealer. Gene Pollard is the owner and sole proprietor. Gene was born and raised in Lake Placid and with his wife Carol reside in Lake Placid.

The Radio Shack in Lake Placid is permanently closed. We appreciate all of our customers who supported our business over the years, and the friendships that were created. That is what we will miss most. The custom framing will resume once construction on the building is completed.

Our customers mean a lot to us. Today was definitely a day where our customers showed their appreciation back to us and the services we provide. Thank you Ann Reilly for the pineapple cake, we appreciate your business. And thank you to the elderly gentleman who left us a $50 tip for assisting him with his cell phone. It is nice to feel appreciated.
