Cybersecurity Alert: AI Is Starting to Change the Speed of Cyberattacks
A recent cybersecurity case reported by Spain’s data protection authority highlights a new concern for businesses: an AI agent was allegedly able to identify vulnerabilities, access a system, modify personal information, and view billing records with very little human involvement. Investigators are still reviewing the incident, but officials warned that AI can dramatically accelerate many of the same attacks businesses already face today.
For small businesses, the lesson is simple: cybersecurity needs to move just as quickly as the attackers do.
Strong cybersecurity should include multifactor authentication, regular security updates, endpoint detection and response, secure backups, email filtering, employee cybersecurity training, and continuous monitoring. One security product by itself is no longer enough.
Cybercriminals do not have to specifically target your business. Automated tools can scan thousands of systems looking for an easy way in.
The question isn’t whether your business is “big enough” to be attacked. The question is whether your network is prepared when someone finds it.
If you are unsure how well your business is protected, Logical IT Solutions can help evaluate your current cybersecurity and identify areas that may need improvement.
