Wes Sperino was 15 years old when his mother, Randy "Gail" Sperino, was murdered in 1993. Just last week, a suspect was charged. Centerline AI™ played a role in making it happen nearly 33 years later. ⬇️

Using modern forensic DNA matching and Centerline AI to search more than 2,000 pages of case files, recorded interviews, and handwritten notes, investigators identified and charged Albert “Buddy” Zigler.

For CentralSquare's own Lane Floyd, who co-founded Centerline in part based on watching the labor-intensive research work of his father Capt. Ray Floyd, this case represents the promise of hashtag technology in action.

As CentralSquare's Rob Sanderson noted: "Centerline is definitely not a replacement for good police work. The detectives in Madison County did a wonderful job and just happened to leverage this tool."

CentralSquare is proud to help law enforcement teams provide answers for families who have waited decades for a resolution.
