Position Overview
Obtains or receives merchandise, explains/demonstrates products, totals bills, accepts payment and makes change for customers in retail store by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Functions
Obtain merchandise requested by customer or receive merchandise returned by customer.
Answer customer questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise.
Accept payment and make change when necessary.
Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
Clean shelves, counters, tables, or any areas of retail store.
Stock shelves, counters or tables with merchandise
Stamp, mark, or tag price on merchandise.
Open and close register appropriately when necessary.
Lock and secure store as assigned.

Requirements
Must be able to communicate clearly, listen carefully and respond to customer questions.
Ability use hands and fingers to handle or feel products/equipment.
Ability to reach with hands and arms, to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to move throughout the store maneuvering shelves, display cases, furniture, etc
Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform basic math functions in units of American money.
Applies product and market knowledge effectively.
Handle difficult or emotional customer situations with tact.
Respond promptly to customers' needs/wants.
Ability to learn and apply new skills and stay on top of changes in products
Courteous, caring and outgoing personality a must.
Contributes to a positive team success and puts success of team above own interests.
Regularly be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Able to read and interpret written information.
Displays passion and enthusiasm for the job; trustworthy individual.
Ability to take initiative to complete tasks when there is down time.
Must be 21 or older.
High School diploma or GED Required.

V**e flavors, flavored cigarillos, menthol ci******es, etc. will be BANNED in California on January 1st, 2021. We need to collect signatures for our referendum on CA SB793 to qualify for the ballot in the elections of November 2022. If we qualify, that means SB793 will not go into effect on January 1st, 2021 and will be suspended until California voters get a chance to vote to keep it or repeal it in roughly 2 years’ time. The goal is to get 900,000 signatures and we need any registered voter who wishes to sign to come through. If you is not registered to vote, but is eligible to vote, canvassers will have voter registration forms available and can verify and assist you in registering. Tell anyone in the local area to come sign and support and be on the look out for other signature drives in your area!
