IN HIS “OFF” HOURS, Robert Mott often spends time performing as a bass trombonist with his professional ensemble, Mr. Jefferson’s Bones, or with various other music groups, including regional orchestras, jazz big bands, funk bands and choral societies. He’s also an ASCAP composer/arranger, co-organizer of the Tromblow’in music workshop held annually at James Madison University, and founder of the musical relief project, Trombonistas por Puerto Rico.
