Two weeks ago, we helped open Draw Alive at the Children's Museum of Acadiana. Lore Linton just sent the first numbers, and they're better than we expected.
2,037 visitors in two weeks. 363 of them, nearly 18%, came through the museum's free or reduced admission programs.
That second number is what gets us. Draw Alive is simple: a kid colors a drawing, scans it, and watches it come to life on the big screen next to everyone else's. It's a first taste of technology as something you create with, not just something you use. And it's reaching families who might not otherwise get that experience.
S1 Technology was proud to present this exhibit alongside LT LFT Fiber, with Scout Real Estate Co. building the space and the CMA team bringing it to life through their Learning by Doing approach.
We don't often get a closed loop on the impact of community projects like this, so seeing real numbers means a lot. If you've got kids, take them downtown and let them try it.
Thank you to Lore and the CMA team, Michael Soileau and LFT Fiber, Rex Moroux and the Scout team, and our own S1 crew who showed up for it.
