For more than 26 years, Eastern Oregon Net, Inc., and PriorityOne Telecommunications, Inc. (EONI) has served our local communities in eastern Oregon with a singular focus – Internet Done Right. This will continue to be the goal moving forward, and you’ll have a larger dedicated team behind this purpose.
Today, we are excited to share that we’ve reached an agreement for Ziply Fiber to acquire EONI, including our fiber internet, fixed wireless and voice solutions for residential and commercial customers in Baker, Union and Wallowa counties. Together, the combined EONI and Ziply Fiber team will provide our customers and communities will continue to provide Internet Done Right.
Ziply Fiber is a Northwest company with a mission to simplify and elevate the connected lives of the people in the communities where we live and work. In two short years, Ziply Fiber has begun new fiber construction projects in more than 80 towns across the Northwest, as part of a $500 million commitment to build an advanced, 100-percent fiber network to both suburban and rural communities across the region.
As an EONI customer, you won’t experience any immediate change to your internet and voice services. Once the acquisition officially closes in a few months, the Ziply Fiber and EONI network architecture will be merged to deliver greater redundancy and reliability and also the fastest residential fiber internet in the Northwest, through Ziply Fiber’s 2-gig and 5-gig service tiers.
