During a heartfelt discussion with my Mutual Mentors group, which Ted Leonhardt graciously hosts once a month, a final statement came out of my mouth that I wasn't expecting to say, but I felt it from a deep place within me. "Ai is great for predictability, but people are great at delivering the element of surprise." This was invoked after listening to a group of talented and successful designers, videographers, marketers, and artists voicing their concerns about our talents being undervalued and the possibility of our jobs being replaced by AI.

We noted how fast the world of design has been changing over the last 100 years and that we need to adapt or get out of the way of a fast-moving technological age.

With deep sighs among the group and still a loss of direction for resolve. A reminder of how our humor can never be replicated. Delivering our wit and charm in response to an obvious statement from someone or something can twist the experience into a uniquely curated, possibly sarcastic, response invoking a smile or a scowl that might create some sort of reaction in the conversation that gives the feeling of connection.�
This is where the power of the human spirit will always have its value. We the people respond not only with our minds and eyes but with our unique feelings and deep connections to the world around us. It's up to us creatives and creators to evolve in a way that is natural to each one of us and give the world what it desperately needs. Authenticity.

While it is easy to write fun and catchy tags and content for our clients, it's oddly frustrating to voice our own fluid sounding posts? I wrote this one about 5 times and sounded like a hitch hiker from the 70s pitching to you why you are safe to take us to town. So with transparency we say, "design is easy words are hard."

Creating the new logo and brand identity for Arch Travel Adventures was an epic and transformational experience. Stories and images that were given by the archeologist/tour guide created a vision of a lush and historical feel.

As soon as we first stepped into the interior of the Black Bird Wine Bar and Charcuterie, inspiration for their menu design was immediately invoked. It was imperative that their menus couldn’t be just any ordinary menu design, they needed to be refined and elegant. The colors for the menus were intentionally matched from the paint swatches, even the wallpaper was photographed and used as a pattern for the background.

We transformed a two sided basic 8.5” x 11” single color menu with absolutely no branding into a single sided 8” x 14” full color branded menu.

The Business cards carried the same flavor and notes as the menus to ensure brand integrity.

The final treat was delivering the menus and nesting quietly into a soft sofa with a glass of wine and some delicious snacks!
