Anyone who's done mineral ownership research knows this one: the owner died in one state, the minerals sit in another, and the home-state probate alone doesn't move title where the minerals actually are. The real proof ends up filed somewhere nobody thought to look first.

Did you know full text search on CountyRecordsUSA.com can do a lot more than a basic keyword lookup?

Here's a quick tip. If you search too broad, like just a state, county, and document type, you'll pull thousands of results and hit the cap before finding what you need.

Add a name to the search instead. That turns it into an AND search, meaning every result has to match all your criteria, not just one piece of it. You'll see your search terms highlighted right in the results so you know exactly why each document matched.

Once you're in your results, the grid filters on each column let you narrow even further. Switch between AND and OR depending on whether you want documents matching everything you typed or just one of the terms.

Small adjustments like these can take you from a few thousand results down to the exact document you're after in seconds.
