Augustus Waller was a British Professor and Physiologist, and also a great inspiration for us! 🇬🇧

Waller invented the term "Electrogram", although he was the true pioneer of electrocardiography.

Despite this, the physiologist didn’t foresee the explosive development of his study in the following decades, considering it an investigation of rare practical application, probably influenced by the complexity of the electrogram machine.

Today is the International Day of Clinical Engineering! 💙

The clinical engineering professional is not recognized outside the hospital environment. But it's not enough for the hospital to have the facilities, the best doctors, the most suitable equipment to support, if in the end, everything that the hospital does, a diagnosis, a treatment or even life support will depend on biomedical equipments working reliably.

Do you know who is responsible for working continuously to ensure this reliability? The clinical engineer! 😉

You may not know everything about them, but Their work, their sweat, rushes for preventive measures, indicators' analysis, calibrations, audits and sleepless nights will be there, by your loved one's side until he returns home. Without it, patient safety would just be an unreachable goal.
