As 2021 comes to a close, many are wondering what will be further optimized through data in 2022. According to , here are just a few things we could see in the new year:

- Data-driven customer experience: this is the process of using data to enhance the servicescape.
-Convergence: the melding of any system that uses data to operate in order to develop more evolved processes.
-AutoML: the development of accessible machine learning that could be used by anyone.

Today’s business leaders are expected to be data-driven and to use data as an important source of input when making decisions, regardless of whether they’re small and routine or large and highly strategic.

Big data is an over-used buzzword that we've all likely seen in articles and blog posts, but what does it mean? First, we must explore its counterpart, small data. This is the information we receive in a basic presentation file. It probably represents one or two points that will help with a decision being made in present. Alternatively, big data is can be comprised of terabytes of information being piped in constantly. It requires diligent sifting to pull out important information. This data is used to make big decisions that can alter a companies' future.

Subarus are not particularly sexy. Neither is the subject of data, for that matter.  Surprisingly, a combination of the two topics made for one of the most interesting sessions at this week's DataIQ Summit.

According to a study done by Omnisend, a majority of websites use pop-ups to obtain buyer information. While it is the most popular form used by marketers, it had the second lowest conversion rate at 3%. Alternatively, the least used form, landing pages, saw a conversion rate of 23% but were only used 5% of the time. Don't rely on popular methods. Using analytics to test different forms can help you find the optimal one for conversions.

An Amazon Business report found that a majority of buyers had to move to online procurement due to the pandemic. This change also will not be going away once the pandemic is over. Buyers said they will continue to do more business online moving forward. This means, now more than ever, it is vital to optimize websites.

"This system augmented the meter inspectors, who were visiting the citizen premises at a regular interval, to identify issues which were invisible earlier, for example, fluctuation in consumption patterns of a house is now immediately compared to other consumers who live in the same area and have similar connection size, after a multivariate analysis, if an anomaly is found, meter inspector is prompted immediately to do a deep dive in the issue, sometimes they find underground leakages, sometimes it maybe water theft. A lot of inconsistencies are detected and fixed due to this on-the-spot analysis"
