A key reason is the lack of visual consistency. Contrary to the records of architects, musicians, cartographers or engineers, there is no standardized notation in business yet. The global IBCS community, specialized IBCS Certified Software providers, and mega-vendors such as SAP and Microsoft are well on the way to changing this.
