It’s wild to think over the next 10-20 years, robots will likely replace many human interactions that we take for granted today.

As the world population grows and people live longer lives, will AI be able to address continued labor shortage challenges or cause new ones?

Will the benefits outweigh the disadvantages?

Remember a time before internet and smartphones? The iPhone was released in 2007. Imagine telling someone 20 years prior of such a device!

We are super excited and proud about a project the ConnectUs team has been working on!

In this photo is a custom enclosure we built for our customer. This solution will provide connectivity to their custom identification and payment processing solution.

This pilot is for for over 1k locations but could ultimately be in well over 100k total locations around the country.

The ConnectUs field services team installed the Peplink Max Mini in combination with a Panorama Antennas WMMG-7-38-5sp Outdoor Antenna to support their Hanwha Group Multi Sensor Dome Camera's for a Florida Utility Company in Plant City, Florida.

This is the first install of many more installations for this particular customer.

Did robots originate in the 1950s or 1490s?

The earliest robots as we know them today were created in the early 1950s by George C. Devol, an inventor from Louisville, Kentucky.

He invented and patented a reprogrammable manipulator called "Unimate," from "Universal Automation." For the next decade, he attempted to sell his product in the industry, but did not succeed.

Way before George's patent, during the Renaissance (circa 1495), Tuscan local Leonardo da Vinci experimented with robotics. Light years ahead of his time, he designed a mechanical lion to impress the King of France. It was a roaring success. Now, the sparks of discovery are flying again, with new innovations emerging from the region – welcome to the robotics renaissance.

Fast forward to present day and is empowering an entire new wave of advancements in robotics.

5G technology’s rise has enabled new operating schemes, in which the robot can perform a large part of the mission autonomously, but can also be teleoperated in certain circumstances for which it has not been programmed.

ConnectUs - Teambuilding with our partners, supporting a great cause!

It feels so good to give back and use our time spent with partners to support the community!

We had an amazing teambuilding event with the Verizon Business Harrisburg and government teams, serving at Midwest Food Bank in Harrisburg, PA.

What an awesome time, giving back to the community and helping those in need with food shortages. Midwest Food Bank supports children’s food programs through backpack food kits and helps food pantries across the tri-state area!
