Important announcement!!!

09/04/2020

BREAKING UPDATE- There will NOT be a special election for the recently filled city council vacancy. At a hearing before an objection panel Thursday evening, it was announced that the special election petition that was filed on Aug. 28 had been withdrawn. At the same hearing, letters from 19 residents wishing to have their signatures removed from the petition were also read. Had all 19 signatures been removed, it would have put the total number of valid signatures on the petition at 42, which is 3 less than the minimum required to force a special election.
