Having a governance framework is one thing.

Being able to show how decisions were made, who was involved, and what evidence supports them is another.

The AAA's 2026 benchmark study found that while 87% of organisations have some form of AI governance in place, only 22% are very confident they could produce evidence of governance decisions when required.

That gap matters.

Accountability is not only about assigning responsibility. It is also about having a reliable record that allows decisions to be understood, reviewed, and demonstrated when needed.

This is where technology can play an important role.

It doesn't replace accountability.

It makes accountability easier to demonstrate.

Board responsibilities rarely follow a fixed schedule.

Support that remains available beyond working hours gives teams greater continuity when something needs attention.

24/7 support keeps important work moving, whenever it needs to.

No two boards operate the same way.

Their processes, approvals, and reporting needs are unique. The technology supporting them should be too.

Dess Digital Meetings adapts to the way your organization works, helping boards manage meetings through familiar workflows while supporting changing business needs over time.

Modern boards oversee more than strategy and performance.

They also play a critical role in understanding and overseeing cybersecurity risks.

As organizations become increasingly digital, regular visibility into cybersecurity helps boards make informed decisions, strengthen resilience, and support long-term business continuity.

Because cybersecurity is no longer just an IT responsibility. It's a boardroom priority.

Meeting minutes are essential.

Preparing them manually shouldn't take more time than the meeting itself.

AI-Powered Draft Minutes helps transform agendas, transcripts, and discussions into a structured first draft, making the review and finalization process faster and more efficient.

Because AI isn't replacing governance.

It's helping those responsible for it work more effectively.

The success of any digital initiative is measured long after implementation.

It is reflected in smoother collaboration, more informed decisions and processes that continue to improve over time.

Good governance relies on more than the final outcome. It relies on the ability to understand the journey that led there.

When every update and action can be referenced with confidence, reviewing records becomes simpler and oversight becomes stronger.

That's not just an AI gap.

It's an ex*****on gap.

Boards are discussing AI more than ever before. According to the NACD's 2025 survey, over 62% of directors now dedicate full-board time to AI discussions.

Yet the challenge isn't simply adopting AI.

It's governing it.

PwC's 2025 research shows that directors continue to identify AI expertise as one of the biggest capability gaps in today's boardrooms.

At the same time, AI is no longer viewed in isolation. Boards are increasingly considering AI alongside cybersecurity, data governance, and enterprise risk because each one influences the other.

Taken together, the research points to a broader shift.

The conversation has moved beyond "Should boards care about AI?"

The real question has become:

How do boards govern AI with the same confidence they govern every other strategic risk?

That's a conversation every organization will need to answer over the coming years.

Organizations may differ in structure, culture, and governance practices.

But across every boardroom, some expectations remain unchanged.

Clear information. Transparent processes. Well-documented decisions. And the confidence that every stakeholder is working from the same source of truth.

Working with organizations across different regions has reinforced one thing for us at Dess Digital: effective governance isn't defined by geography. It's built on clarity.
