I remember having a discussion with a colleague who said, “AI will take audit jobs.” I don’t think he fully understood it then.
Maybe when he sees this, he’ll understand that AI isn’t just replacing roles—it’s introducing a new technology landscape that requires governance, risk management, and a robust internal control framework.
As AI adoption grows, organizations will need professionals who understand how to assess AI risks, evaluate controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide independent assurance.
AI isn’t making Audit irrelevant. It’s expanding the scope of what we audit—and making our role even more relevant.
