This week's took a break from technology to focus on one of the positive things that has come out of social distancing: deeper connections with people.

Not being able to meet in person has heightened the importance of staying connected.

Ideas we heard:
-a calling tree so that every member of the congregation is contacted every week
-Zoom call before or after the service to mimic fellowship in the lobby
-creating small groups to meet on a weekly video call

One of our takeaways was to pay attention to the placement of the subject on the screen. Move the subject, whether a person or graphics, to different areas on the screen to keep the audience's eye moving and stay engaged.

On this morning it was interesting to hear how churches are handling the first phase of re-opening. One of the tips we heard is to reduce the number of services offered in-person to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation time between groups of people.
