A packed house this evening as the Clinton County Planning and Zoning Commission begins to hear public input on data processing center regulations. The county has a one-year moratorium on all data center applications, and to date, no company has expressed interest in building a data center here.

The Clinton County Commissioners voted today to place a one-year moratorium on all data center applications, giving the county time to consider and formulate zoning regulations around the controversial structures. To date, there have been no applications for a data center in Clinton County. See next week’s edition of The Leader for more on the story.

It’s the end of an era in Lathrop. Liberty North has announced the hire of longtime Lathrop wrestling coach Rick Mudd. He’ll serve as the girls wrestling coach at Liberty North. Mudd coached at Lathrop for over two decades, rebuilding its boys wrestling program. Since 2012, the boys program has earned five Class 1 state wrestling team trophies (finishing top four in Missouri) while producing numerous individual state, district and KCI Conference champions. Mudd also helped to establish the addition of the girls wrestling program at Lathrop.
