Are you surprised that June is PACKED with fun events?! Neither are we 😂

I am back from vacation feeling super refreshed and ready for a busy and exciting month.

✍️🏼 Come meet one of our incredible local poets, .kat.the.poet this Saturday from 11-2.

🎧 Celebrate Audiobook Month with us at our first Art & Audiobooks event sponsored by on Friday, June 12th and get a FREE audiobook of your choice (ten available). More details to come!

🎪 Josiah is back with another fun & interactive puppet show: A Midsummer Nights Dream - on Saturday, June 13th from 1p-3p. All puppet shows are followed by a free craft!

❤️💛💚 Celebrate Juneteenth with us all day long on Friday June 19th with select discounted new books and bogo free used books. A portion of the profits from sales this day will be made to the Kankakee chapter of the NAACP.

🌈 Check out our booth at the Kankakee Farmers Market on Saturday, June 27th from 8am-12pm for the annual Pride Market! We will have tons of amazing q***r merch and books 📚 💖

Hey Y'all,

I'm heading to the other side of the world to fill my cup with beautiful beaches, bookstores, crystals and wildlife!

While I'm gone, I ask that you hold off on bringing in large quanitiy book donations (a small stack or bag full is ok).

All events will run as scheduled!

I will resume ordering new books the week I return. If you pre-ordered titles that come in while I'm gona, staff will be advised!

Thank you for all your love and support year round. Taking time to rest and recharge is essential for small business owners, so I appreciate your patience and hope you'll visit the store while I'm gone! It will be in the best hands ☺️

This will be our last week of new arrivals for May. We will resume bringing in newly published titles the first week of June when Nikki returns from galavanting around the eastern coast of Australia 🇦🇺 🦘🐨🌊
