I had the opportunity to meet with Attorney General Dana Nessel this week to talk about cybersecurity and identity theft. I may or may not have put Senator Sean McCann on the spot 😁 about much needed rules or laws for Michigan Business to have a responsibility to protect your data and have a duty to inform you if your data is stolen. Currently Michigan does not have any laws in place to secure your data. So businesses like Corewell Health can wait almost a year before they inform you that your personal information was stolen 🤔.
