7-Eleven has confirmed a data breach affecting more than 185,000 individuals after hackers gained access to systems containing franchisee documents. Exposed data reportedly includes names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and dates of birth. Some records may also have included Social Security numbers and driver’s license information.
The incident highlights how cybercriminals continue targeting businesses for sensitive personal data, often using extortion tactics after stealing information.
