A couple of nights ago… at Lake Crescent. You can see the Lodge bottom left, the Milky Way above, and the comet to the right of that.

Persistence, perseverance, or lucky shot?

Joyce says if it's not posted to Facebook it didn't happen. So here it is. I saw a small window of opportunity and I took it.

If you get a chance to see this amazing display of awe and wonder, do it! Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) is visible from sunset to approximately 9:30pm in the coming days and fades away at the end of the month of October 2024. You can see it with the naked eye if you concentrate and squint a little. 10x binoculars give you a better viewing experience. DSLR cameras can be honed in on it for 10 to 30 seconds for a crisp shot. A tripod is also recommended. Some had had luck with smartphone point and shoot.

Aurora Borealis over the Strait of Juan De Fuca. What an amazing night! Joyce, and I went up the access road to enjoy this heavenly light show.

I have to admit, it was not what I was expecting at all. Instead of a distant green faint curtain barely visible by fancy cameras, the ENTIRE sky lit up. Professional 4th of July fireworks pale in comparison to what we saw that night.

The Aurora Borealis was forecasted to begin between midnight and 3 am on the morning of May 11. Anticipating crowds, we left before sunset on the 10th and sat in the car expecting nothing.

As soon as it got dark, wispy clouds I had dismissed as simple clouds stated to dance in the most amazing rainbow-like swaths of color and awe. I can only describe them as tasty, delicious, warm and comforting blankets of love. I can imagine this is a taste of Heaven. Thank God for this amazing experience.

On October 1, 2017 we climbed 832 steps from “Base 2 Space” for a fundraiser to benefit Fred Hutch Cancer Research.

We raised over $1200 thanks to you, our donors and supporters.

This event is sponsored by the Space Needle Foundation.

Just got off the phone with, yet, another client whose computer was taken hostage by these FAKE browser infections.

I wrote this quick tutorial on how to get out of this seemingly unstoppable page without having to call the number on your screen.

Follow these simple instructions instead, and save hundreds of dollars of unnecessary computer repair costs.

YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED. DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER UNTIL YOU CALL THIS NUMBER: 1-800-BOLOGNAPeople. It is a waste of your time to call that number or any like it. IT IS NOT TRUE. There is no …

Hail. Frozen water falling from the sky.

When I think of digital, I think hail. When I think of analog, I think rain.

Digital information is recorded in distinct and equal increments. I think of sugar cubes as a digital substance. I think of honey as an analog substance.

Think if it like this: if you can spread it like butter, it's analog. If you can count it like beans, its digital. (Unless you make refried beans then it's analog.)

What other analogies or examples can you think of when you think digital or analog?

Do you sometimes feel like your kids or grand kids have a better understanding about digital technology? Do you wonder why it is so easy for them to pick up new computer concepts and you struggle?

I am putting together a computer coaching program that will help you feel better about your computer. I would like to tell you all about it, so I am offering a free training opportunity to introduce my program.

Have you ever felt like you have been left behind? I am not talking about being left behind spiritually. Although, that is something very important for you should consider, I am talking about being left behind "technically."

YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED. DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER UNTIL YOU CALL THIS NUMBER: 1-800-BOLOGNA

People. It is a waste of your time to call that number or any like it.

IT IS NOT TRUE. There is no problem with your computer.

You have landed on a web page specifically designed to trick you into calling a Fake tech support professional. Who by a few magical clicks of the mouse, will "fix" your computer.

$600 and 2 hours later, after "they" make you feel afraid for your life, you will be angry. You will feel stupid and degraded once you find out you have been taken.

SAVE YOURSELF SOME FRUSTRATION

The fix costs $0. Here it is:

1) hit the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys, all once.
2) Select "Task Manager" from the list.
3) Right-click on the name of your browser.
4) Left-click "End Task"

Close the task manager when the "warning" web page has closed.

Enjoy your computer.

Let me know if you want to learn more.
