🐱💻 TECH TIP TUESDAY: CAT EDITION

Does your cat think your laptop is:
🔥 A heated bed
🐾 A personal keyboard
😼 The perfect place to sit the second you start working?

Today’s tech tip: Your laptop needs airflow almost as much as your cat needs attention.

When your furry IT assistant parks themselves on your laptop, they can block the vents and cause it to overheat. Keep vents clear, give your computer a hard, flat surface to work on… and maybe provide your cat with an equally warm alternative. 😂

Bonus tip: Lock your screen when you walk away.
Your cat does not need access to company email.

📡 TECH TIP TUESDAY: Full Wi-Fi Bars… But Still Slow?

A strong Wi-Fi signal doesn’t always mean a fast connection.

🐢 Slow speeds
📞 Choppy video calls
⏳ Constant buffering
🔌 Devices randomly disconnecting

The problem could be your network, not your internet plan.

An outdated router, poor access point placement, interference, or too many devices competing for bandwidth can all slow things down.

💡 Tech Tip: Before paying for faster internet, make sure your network is actually built to handle your home or business.

A better network = faster, more reliable connections. 📶

💻 TECH TIP TUESDAY: After 5:30? Shut It Down.

Still browsing after the workday is over? Before you walk away, shut it down. 🔒

Leaving your computer running and logged in overnight can leave your device — and your data — unnecessarily exposed.

✅ Save your work
✅ Close your programs
✅ Install any pending updates
✅ Shut down your computer

A fresh start tomorrow is good for you and your computer. 😉

Done for the day? Shut the tech down& relax your self.

TECH TIP : Monitor Your Identity

Hackers don’t always want your computer — sometimes, they want to be you. 👀

Your personal information can be exposed in data breaches without you even realizing it. A little monitoring can help you catch suspicious activity before it becomes a bigger problem.

✅ Keep an eye on your credit reports
✅ Turn on alerts for bank and credit card activity
✅ Watch for unfamiliar logins or password-reset emails
✅ Use strong, unique passwords + multi-factor authentication
✅ Take unexpected calls, texts, or emails asking for personal information seriously — and verify before responding

💡 Pro Tip: Don’t wait for something suspicious to happen. Make checking your digital identity part of your regular cybersecurity routine.

Your identity is valuable. Protect it like you protect your wallet. 🔒
