What does Women's History Month mean to you?

"For me, Women's History Month is a time to remember and honor the strong and brave women who have come before me. I think of my own grandmothers who started the legacy of going to college in the 1920s and paving that road for me. I think of all the women who fought for the rights that I have today and am so grateful that I can vote, I can work outside of the house and have equal pay, I can make my own personal decisions and so many more. And lastly I think of all the women whose names we do not know, who suffered and struggled through unimaginable circumstances and hope that they can see how far we've come and realize the role that they played in carving out the path to better times."

What does Women's History Month mean to you?

"It's a time of reflection, celebration and acknowledgment. As early as the 19th century, there has been a movement for women's rights. While unpopular in that time, it took courage and strength to speak up for women's equality. I celebrate those women who have raised their voices to be heard. I also take the time to acknowledge the women in my life. Those that have raised, mentored, and helped me grow as a mother, professional and leader."

What women have inspired you and why?

"Several — Margaret Thatcher for changing the face of politics, Ruth Ginsburg for being the 2nd female justice who, up until her death, was paving the way for women's equality. However, if I was to name one, it would be Malala Yousafzai — the young women who wrote a diary about what it was like to live under the Taliban rule. She was shot because she chose to use her voice, and upon surviving she continued to speak up, even louder. She should be every girls hero."
