Should you use a handheld or a fixed RFID reader? Start by looking at your workflow.

The way your assets move will dictate exactly which device you need. If you're trying to automate a high-volume dock door, relying on a human with a handheld scanner is going to slow you down.

We broke down the core differences between handheld and fixed readers to help you analyze your process and pick the right tool for the job.

Swipe through to see which reader is right for you. ➡️

That’s a wrap on our internal QBR alongside our parent company, Strategic Systems, and our partners at Zebra Technologies.

This week was all about practical alignment. We reviewed how RedBeam’s newest RFID features integrate with Zebra’s upcoming hardware releases to better serve our retail and manufacturing clients.

Getting both teams in the same room allowed us to dig into specific use cases, evaluate recent implementations, and spend some great time offsite connecting at Trilith Studios and Fairway Social.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to a productive week of planning. We are excited to carry this momentum through the rest of the year!

Did you know that external auditors often observe your count in progress?

Under PCAOB Auditing Standard 2510, it is usually necessary for the auditor to be present.

Save this checklist, and check out our blog to see how to turn the year-end count from a once-a-year scramble into an ongoing habit you control year-round with RedBeam.

What's the difference between a handheld reader versus a fixed reader?

Fixed readers monitor. Handheld readers search.

Need to locate a specific asset on a crowded floor? Grab a handheld RFID reader, fire up the Redbeam "Geiger counter" feature, plug in your ID, and follow the beeps until you find exactly what you are looking for.

Does your year-end inventory count usually end with a massive spreadsheet and a scramble before the auditor arrives?

By planning your zones, assigning your roles, and accounting for variances early, your numbers become completely defensible.
