Ten years of Be Pro Be Proud. Ten stops to celebrate.

Be Pro Be Proud introduces students to the skilled trades through hands-on mobile workshops outfitted with Meta Quest VR headsets and equipment simulators — welding, electrical, heavy equipment and more.

The tour stopped in Jeffersonville alongside One Southern Indiana Chamber & Economic Development and Maker13 for Manufacturing Week! Students explored the trades that build manufacturing and infrastructure across Southern Indiana and the pathways into those careers. They are the same trades that built out the data center down the road, where 1,250 skilled workers helped bring the campus to life.

Meta and Be Pro Be Proud launched Be Pro Be Proud Texas making it our third statewide chapter after Tennessee and New Mexico. Now, we are excited to kick off a joint 10-stop tour celebrating BPBP's 10th anniversary.

Backed by Meta's $500,000 investment, tour brings the Mobile Workshop across our data center communities in Alabama, Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Students get hands-on access to 16+ high-demand technical careers, the same trades that build and operate our data centers.

Last Friday, with our partners at Turner Construction Company, we were able to drop off an entire pickup truck full of school supplies for the Greater Clark Educational Foundation Teacher Supply Bus!

A huge thanks to everyone on our Meta team, construction partners, and local trade partners for their contributions and making this school supply drive a success.

Backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons — all headed to students and teachers across Greater Clark County Schools.

Our annual community grants program is now part of the Future is for Everyone Fund, Meta's $1 billion commitment to invest directly in the U.S. communities that host a Meta data center. Applications open on September 14 for schools, nonprofits, and community organizations that make this a great place to live and work.

When the call opens, you'll be able to apply for projects across four focus areas:
🤝 Community Enhancement: the shared spaces and services that bring people together, from parks, trails, and gathering places to connectivity and support for first responders like police, firefighters, and paramedics.

💲Economic Vitality: supporting the people and organizations that power local economies — helping workers gain the skills, certifications, and hands-on experience the modern economy rewards, and backing initiatives that create jobs and give a community its character.

🎓Education: programs, tools, and spaces that help learners of every age discover what they're capable of, from early literacy and the arts to hands-on science and technology, plus resources for the educators who make it happen.

🌳Sustainability: caring for the land, water, and wildlife that make this area home, including habitat restoration and conservation that connect people to the natural world.

Meta was proud to be sponsor for the One Southern Indiana Chamber & Economic Development Annual Meeting at the beautiful Visit Huber's!

It was great to be in the room with more than 500 local residents, business owners, and community leaders who are investing in our community's future. Not only did we hear from Indiana University President, Pamela Whitten, but we were also able to celebrate the 2026 Ambassador of the Year, the 2026 Volunteer of the Year, and the 2026 Economic Development Project of the Year.

Big one to celebrate this year! Be Pro Be Proud is turning 10! For a whole decade, using hands-on simulators and Meta Quest headsets to bring technical careers to life, they've been showing students that a career in the skilled trades is something to be proud of, and we couldn't agree more. To mark the milestone, we’re teaming with BPBP for ten special events across our data center communities. Starting with the Be Pro Be Proud National Conference!

We were honored to be part of a conversation about how training, technology, and real career exposure come together to open doors for people in the communities we live and work in. We were happy to speak to a full house of 100+ workforce development and education leaders, employers, and policy makers from 15+ states! 🔧⚡🏗️

🏗️ America's Workforce Academy — the largest private-sector skilled trades commitment in American history: paid training that leads to an industry-recognized credential and a guaranteed job for graduates.

🥽 AI Glasses Impact Grants — Wearable technology delivering guided workflows and real-time expert access on the job site

🎓 Be Pro Be Proud — Hands-on career exploration in skilled trades through immersive Mobile Workshop experiences

Our BPBP partnership has engaged ~70,000 students to date through statewide support in Tennessee, New Mexico, and Texas and brought the program to data center communities in Illinois, North Carolina, and Ohio.
