"We're too small to be a target."

A 12-person accounting firm thought the same thing. They had the basics covered. Antivirus, a firewall, nothing fancy but good enough.

Then one Monday, nobody could log in.

It wasn't a targeted attack. It was an automated tool scanning thousands of small businesses at once, just looking for the easiest way in. And it found one.
Two weeks of recovery. Tens of thousands of dollars. And a lot of very uncomfortable calls to clients.

Think of it like your front door. Your password is the key, but keys can be copied. MFA adds a second lock. Even if someone gets your password, they still can't get in without a second step, like a code sent to your phone.

It takes about 5 minutes to set up and it stops most account takeover attacks cold.
