How are you building your site plans?

Every NFPA 1123 compliant display needs a site plan that shows accurate safety distances. But for most shooters, that process looks something like this:

📏 Manually looking up discharge site and fallout area distances per shell size

✏️ Hand-drawing or fighting with multiple tools to map it out

🤞 Hoping the AHJ doesn't kick it back for being incomplete or hard to read

What if you could drop your shoot site on satellite imagery, select your shell sizes, and have the safety radius calculated and mapped automatically?

That's Pyro Site Plan.

Built by a pyrotechnician who got tired of the same process.

Did you know NFPA 1123, the Code for Fireworks Display, has specific safety rules for shows on barges? It's all about ensuring a safe experience on the water! Here are a few things the code requires:

🎆 No Reloading: Once the display begins, it is not permitted to reload any fireworks.

🛡️ Safety Shelters: For electrically fired shows with a crew on board, a safety shelter with at least three sides and a roof must be provided. It has to be constructed of materials equivalent to at least ¾-inch plywood.

🚤 Emergency Boat: A watercraft must be present and ready to provide rapid emergency response during the display.

🦺 Personal Flotation Devices: Every single person on the vessel must be provided with and wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device (PFD).

These are just some of the many protocols that help make fireworks displays both dazzling and safe!
