“ I reached out to Doulas of Jacksonville and spoke a few times to them (Christin) while trying to get pregnant about providers & facilities they recommended that were VBAC friendly. Based on my area & preferences, she recommended Haley and let me tell you, (she’s) the BEST doula I could’ve asked for. From the beginning, she was so supportive and helpful in getting me to a successful VBAC. She recommended various treatment plans based on how my OB appts went and how baby’s positions were. She helped me get my OP baby into prime position through stretches, chiropractor appts, and weekly check-ins. The moment I realized Haley was an actual angel is when she delivered my baby, yes- SHE DELIVERED HER! Part of my birth plan was to labor at home as long as I could and while I was having contractions over 10-15 min apart, I kept in contact with her the whole time. Out of nowhere, my water broke & I felt like I needed to push immediately. We called her, told her what I felt & Haley FLEW to my house. She walked in, placed her hands on my hips & said “we’re having this baby here.” She guided me through the entire process. She was more than my support person, she was a guardian angel. The calmness in her voice, the clear instructions, and supportive tone is what helped me deliver my baby at home, unmedicated - none of which I planned. EMS arrived right before I started to push and I’m so thankful Haley stayed where she was to deliver because my full trust was in her. There was no one else I wanted there in that moment than her. I truly do not know what I would’ve done without her. She was the calming presence in a chaotic moment. I am forever thankful and grateful for her. Not only did I get my VBAC, but we all have one heck of a story to tell. If you’re looking for someone who will be there for you whenever you need her, helps you through all the wild moments of pregnancy, and will be your biggest supporter-Haley is your girl!”- Client Haley M.

POV: You’re wondering, “Are these contractions actually doing something?” 😅

One of the easiest ways to take some of the guesswork out of early labor? A contraction timer.

Our favorite FREE option for keeping track is Full Term – Contraction Timer. It’s simple, easy to use, and helps you see the pattern instead of staring at the clock wondering what the heck is happening. 😂

You can track:
⏱️ How long each contraction lasts
📈 How frequently they’re coming
📊 Whether there’s a consistent pattern developing

And here’s the important part: don’t let an app decide when it’s time to go to your birth place. The INTENSITY of your waves, your individual circumstances, and—most importantly—how you and baby are doing all matter.

Your doula can help you look at the bigger picture. ❤️Help you see if these waves are getting longer and stronger as time has gone by or not.

Because sometimes the problem isn’t “I don’t know how to time contractions.”

It’s “I have no idea what’s happening right now and I need someone calm who knows what they’re looking at.”

✨ I had the privilege of being honored with an award of appreciation at the MommyTu Wellness Inc postpartum support Gala and I could NOT have been more surprised 😱

As TJ (founder of MommyTu Wellness Inc ) gave the award she said “this goes to someone who is always supportive and encouraging from the background, someone who’s supported MommyTu’s cause from the beginning and who can be the calming support but is also a “bull dog” in advocacy when you need her to be for our mamas…” 🥹😂 It’s always surprising and encouraging to hear others explain how they see you at work, that’s for sure!

By squeezing the comb during contractions, the pressure stimulates the nerves in your hand. This is based on the Gate Control Theory of Pain, which suggests that competing sensory input can help decrease how pain is perceived.
