System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage Operation System, Virtual
Environment and Networks. This role is fully technical. additionally this role should be
able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly as L3. Provide the patience to
communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. The goal will be to
ensure that our internal customers and peers technology infrastructure runs smoothly
and efficiently
· Documentation, definition and ex*****on of the operation of Compute Server procedures
around the areas of maintenance, patching, configuration, and network topology.
Reports status and informs staff and/or key personnel
· Ensures accountable CI inventory is kept up to date; for example, server leases, CMDB
updates
· Monitors system performance and reliability. Identifies and corrects any emergency
problems. Analyzes potential improvements to the system.
· Drives initiatives around process automation.
· Maintains knowledge of technological trends; provides transfer of knowledge, provides
cross-training and train users in complex topics.
Skills:
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to make presentations to an
internal audience, additionally interact positively with upper management
· Understand and execute ITIL Framework (IM, PM, CM, ConfM, Request Fulfillment)
· The ability to work individually when necessary and also collaborate within a team
· Demonstrable competence and capability as System Administrator support role.
· Knowledge with Project Management Tools and ex*****on of the Projects.
· Independent problem-solving, self-direction, “Can-do” attitude, willing to go the extra
mile.
Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in computer science; or system administration and IT certifications in
Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields (e.g. ITIL)
· Programming background in Python, PHP, or JavaScript for Automation.
· Windows Server / Unix/Linux management Experience.
· Experience Virtual Management environments (VMWare)
· Knowledge with Database (Oracle, MS SQL, Cloud, etc.)
· Cybersecurity experience SIEM, Vulnerability, Security Compliance (Security
Hardening), IAM, Certificate Management.
· Work with Global vendors as management services
· Familiarity with fundamental networking environment concepts
· Experience to Install and configure Applications and Databases.
· Expertise with IAM to manage Root, Admin and Privileged accounts.
· Troubleshoot issues and outages
· Upgrade systems with new releases and models
· Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
· Build Knowledge Documents with technical expertise, manuals and IT policies
· Assist in development of standards and procedures.
· Execute technology Capacity Management procedures (CPU, Memory, Storage)
Technical Profile:
· Proficient with most aspects of Windows Server and RHEL operating system
administration; for example, managing processes and services, system configuration,
task scheduling, and fundamentals of security
· System configuration duties will also extend to middleware configuration, experience
with the following is a must: IIS, Apache
· Ability to write scripts in some administrative language; Bash and Windows PowerShell
(other experience: Python, PHP, node, ASP, JavaScript)
· Experience with DB administration; MySQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL
· Knowledge with deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, docker, OpenShift
