The Gonzo Dining Society evolved in 1995 from a bunch of LAN gaming friends going out to dinner when they played every week. It is named for the Muppet who would blow himself up in new and exciting ways at the close of each Muppet Show. Currently Tuesday at 6:30 pm, with less combustion and more food, the members of the Society try a new restaurant or revisit an old favorite in the name of camarad
erie and culinary adventure. The dinner is second to the friendship and conversation, which varies from zombie apocalypse to catfishing to politics to Shakespeare plays. The group has grown into a family whose diverse members have provided moral support for each other through the valleys and celebrations of life for years. (It is nice to be able to give a rough estimate to the hostess when we arrive at a restaurant so new folks please let us know if you plan to attend.) The society is open to all open minded and friendly folk in the Jackson, MS Area.
