🚨 Microsoft Entra Cloud Sync Transition Coming in 2026 🚨

Microsoft has announced that it will begin transitioning eligible organizations from Microsoft Entra Connect Sync to Microsoft Entra Cloud Sync starting in July 2026.

This change is designed to simplify hybrid identity management, improve security, and reduce reliance on on-premises infrastructure by moving synchronization services to a more cloud-native platform.

What to know:

✅ Microsoft will notify organizations directly when it's their turn to migrate.

✅ Early phases will focus on organizations whose environments are already fully supported by Cloud Sync.

✅ Hybrid authentication features will continue to work after migration.

⚠️ Important: Organizations using Hybrid Azure AD Join are not currently eligible to migrate, as this feature is not yet supported by Cloud Sync.

Microsoft has released its May 2026 Patch Tuesday security updates, addressing 137 vulnerabilities across Windows, Microsoft Office, Hyper-V, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and other Microsoft products — including 30 vulnerabilities rated Critical.

While Microsoft has not reported active exploitation of these vulnerabilities at this time, several of the issues involve remote code ex*****on and privilege escalation risks that could allow attackers to compromise systems with little or no user interaction.

This month’s updates are especially important for organizations using:

Windows servers and domain services
Microsoft Office
Hyper-V virtualization
SharePoint
Azure and hybrid cloud environments
