Hackers are ringing in the new year by exploiting newly discovered processor design flaws.

Please be aware of 2 newly announced hardware-based (chip level) security vulnerabilities: Meltdown and Spectre. These vulnerabilities are wide-spread and effect almost all computer hardware made in the last 20 years.

Due to the nature of this hardware vulnerability, various operating systems are effected such as Microsoft Windows, MacOS and Unix/Linux distributions.
