Many offices have an old computer (or several) around the office without considering what it may cost them. Here are a few things to consider:

1. Let's start with the obvious: old computers are slow.

2. Outdated computers may not be able to run the latest software applications.

3. Old computers are often incompatible with the latest data security and backup tools. That puts your company information at constant risk of being lost. Or even worse: stolen

Major game developer CD PROJEKT RED was recently hit with a Ransomware attack, compromising source code for some of their best-selling games.

This valuable code was put up for auction, and just last week the hackers sold the information for at least $7 million dollars!

This goes to show that even a company full of programmers can click on the wrong link and fall for a ransomware attack. And the sad truth is, even if you end up paying the hackers ransom you may not get back the files they stole from you.

The best way to resolve a ransomware attack is preventing it from even happening in the first place.

Files stolen from CD Projekt Red in a ransomware attack revealed earlier this week have reportedly now been sold in a dark web auction.

Over the past year the amount of mail and packages sent increased dramatically. The US Postal Service reported that for fiscal year 2020 they saw an almost 20% increase!

That's even more impressive when you consider the post office's fiscal year goes from October 1st to September 30th, meaning the overwhelming number of holiday packages sent in 2020 aren't included in that figure.
