We recently released four updates across Proton Drive as part of the ongoing work we're doing to improve Drive using our new SDK, the shared engine that now powers Drive on every platform.
Here’s what we launched:

📁 Better duplicate management (iOS)
Until now, uploading a file with the same name as an existing one kept both, wasting storage and leaving you guessing which was which. Now Drive handles it properly: replace, keep both (auto-named), or skip.

⏸️ Pause sync with a built-in timer (Windows)
Pausing sync saves power and bandwidth, useful if you're on a limited connection or want your PC's resources elsewhere for a bit. Now you can pause for a few hours or until the next day, and Drive will resume automatically without having to set a reminder to turn it back on.

🖼️ Photos and albums load faster (Web)
We rebuilt how Drive loads your photos behind the scenes. Opening an album you've browsed recently now feels close to instant, since it's cached instead of reloading everything from scratch. First loads are better too, and we're still working on making them faster.

🔗 Grid view on public links (Web)
Publicly shared links now allow you to toggle between a grid or list layout for viewing files and photos.
