(1989) is a second generation company of Processing Management, Inc. PMI began working with human service agencies in the early 1970s. From that beginning, we began to develop packaged solutions to support the complex needs of multi-funded human service agencies. Our grass roots involvement in designing and writing a fully functioning Low Income Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) program stemmed from the need for local CAA decision-makers to move away from manual information management to a service bureau mainframe technology platform (current to that time). We have kept pace with the energy assistance initiative across the nation, and today offer a comprehensive energy module that meets our customer’s federal and state regulatory requirements. A consistent challenge our customers always face is change. Change in funding, regulatory requirements, let’s not overlook the most recent worry – ROMA Next Gen. Change is part of our history and our product is ready for your future. Our solution was to eliminate change as a problem. We achieve that, every day, by providing a production system that is feature-rich with user customization. Our customers are all ready to open the door and invite ROMA Next Gen into their daily operations. All historical data will be preserved, and simple system administration adjustments are made to instantly incorporate the NEW output/outcomes into program activities and reporting. Keeping pace with technology is always a moving target. We have migrated from one technology platform to another making new technology available to our customers. We began on IBM main frames, migrated to mid-range DEC servers, provided a Windows Thin Client suite of products, and currently provide our customers with a cloud-based enterprise system running on .NET/SQL framework. Our customer community includes individual community action agencies, city and county human service entities, and state-wide networks. We also have working relationships with customer funding sources. (Department of Social Services, Commerce, NASCSP, and CSBG State Analysts, to name a few.) Oftentimes when we partner with the funding source we can support our customer at a much higher level as well as be pro-active when change is on the horizon.
